Women With Healthy Hair Do At Least 1 of These 3 Things

Obtaining beautiful and healthy hair doesn’t have to be hard work. With a little know-how and some expert advice, you can have hair that’s the envy of all.

For instance, did you know that you should treat your scalp care like you would your skin care? You wouldn’t allow your skin to dry out. You shouldn’t let your hair and scalp dry out either.

There are plenty of more tips where that came from. Check out what Lea Michele – hairstylists to celebrities like Dakota Johnson and the Olsen sisters, had to say about Hollywood hair secrets, courtesy of Pop Sugar.

#1 – Sleep on a Sateen Pillow: Cotton pillows aren’t ideal to sleep on because they strip your hair (and skin) of oils. Instead, sleep with a satin pillow to help minimize frizz and breakage.

#2 – Avoid using Shampoo Everyday: Washing your hair everyday with shampoo is another way to strip the hair of natural oils. It’s better to co-wash every other day with a conditioner or a co-wash shampoo.

#3 – Use Nut Oils: Michele is an advocate of natural oils because they are better able to penetrate inside the hair. Natural oils include macadamia, coconut and almond oil. Oils like argon and silicone do not penetrate the hair. They just sit on top of it. It’s also great to use nut oils as a pre-shampoo conditioner where you apply it to your dry hair for at least 15 minutes before washing.
