Demi Lovato: Out Of Rehab And Back On Instagram

We haven’t heard much from Demi Lovato lately. So fans were surprised to see her return to Instagram—and with a motivating message.

The 26 year-old shared a picture of herself for the first time since she was admitted to the hospital after suffering an overdose on July 24th. She posted, “I am so grateful to be home in time to vote!” Lovato was raised in Texas and in the pic, you can see her voting at a local polling station. Like many celebs who were pushing their followers to go vote, Lovato wanted to use her first posts back on social media in a positive way.

“One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard! Now go out and #VOTE!” Lovato expressed with excitement and inspiration.

The star was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai in L.A. for 12 days after an overdose at her Hollywood Hills home. She was then released to an inpatient treatment facility.

Sources confirmed that Lovato was spotted Saturday evening outside of one of her favorite food spots,  Matsuhisa restaurant in Los Angeles – stylishly dressed in designer Henry Levy no less.

Though she’s laying low on Instagram, this isn’t her first emergence. She shared a post in early August to give an update on her health.

She said, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

“I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well,” she added, while also admiring fans for standing by her during her “dark” times.

“To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”

She ended with, “I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”
