Low Iron Can Put You at Risk of Hearing Loss

Brittle or weak nails may signal an underlying iron problem. Ask your doctor to run a blood test to check for anemia. A Penn State University study says a low level of iron can double your risk of hearing loss. Low iron also increases your chances of developing fatigue and triggering anemia. Spinach, broccoli, beans, lentils, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, quinoa, tofu, turkey, liver, red meat and dark chocolate are all good sources of iron.
