Is The “New Nordic Diet” Legit Or Just Another Fad?

It would seem logical that if a diet works, why would you ever need to jump to a new one. Yet and still, we do, which is why the diet and weight loss industry is as successful as it is. The thing about a diet is not only must it work, it must also be sustainable. Something you can make a way of life. Which is why the “new” diet on the scene called the New Nordic Diet is becoming so popular. Not only is it tasty, it also allows you to continue choosing from a variety of foods.

Where did the idea come from?

The New Nordic Diet is based on the idea of eating foods mostly eaten by people in Nordic countries like Finland, Norway, and Sweden. The diet was created by a team of professionals who wanted to help improve the diet of the people in the region.

It is very similar to the Mediterranean diet as it is all about fresh, whole foods, seafood, root veggies, dark leafy greens, and a variety of fruits.

What’s not in the diet

You’ll notice that there is no red meat, soda, sugar, or other processed foods in the diet. On the other hand, it does encourage a lot of fruits and veggies for snacks. The foods suggested provide powerful antioxidants and energy boosting carbohydrates.

Not only is this diet ideal for losing weight, but it’s also great for helping improve cholesterol and blood pressure levels.
