Transitioning our wardrobes into fall may be heartbreaking for some, but we’re actually excited to trade our lightweight tops for chunky cardigans, our denim shorts for jeans, and, of course, our sandals for…well, we aren’t sure yet! Let’s look at what shoe trends we’re expecting this fall and how we plan to fit them into our style.
Clogs
If you didn’t get enough of clogs over the summer, have no fear, they’re continuing their moment into fall. Specifically, we love these Silent D Sherpa-Lined Slingback Clogs from Anthropologie ($130, shop here). The color goes with just about everything (they also come in black), and the sherpa lining is sure to keep you cozy. We love the idea of pairing these with a chunky sweater French-tucked into a delicate floral maxi skirt.
Oxfords
If you’re on the lookout for a trendy variation of a flat, this fall will be all about Oxfords. We have our eyes on these throwback Delia’s by Dolls Kill Mocha Teen Craft Oxford Shoes ($88, shop here), which will look amazing with a button-down miniskirt, a long-sleeve bodysuit, and a blazer.
Slides
Admittedly, we lived in our woven slides all spring and summer long. And, luckily, the style is only getting comfier for fall, like with these Phoebe Caramel Faux Fur Slides from Birdies ($110, shop here). We love that the lining adds a little an accent, so you keep your outfit simple by pairing them with a solid sweater tucked into jeans.
Platforms
If you happily traded out your stilettos for platforms, you will be pleased to know that platforms are making their way into fall 2021 in a big way. A good block heel is easy and comfortable to walk on, which is why we love these Steve Madden Shaniya Sand Suede Ankle Boots ($169.95, shop here). There really is no wrong way to wear these boots. We like them with a floral dress and slouchy cardigan combo just as much as with wide-leg trousers and a chunky cardigan.
