We have really been digging summer 2021 trends, from ’90s revivals to taking our quarantine style (aka loungewear/athleisure) and making it fashion. We promise you: There is plenty of comfort to come as we approach fall! Based on celebrity style, fashion influencers, and the latest ready-to-wear collections, here are some of the top trends we’re predicting for fall.

The ’90s-revival trend isn’t going anywhere, and mark our words, you’ll be seeing sweater vests all over the place this fall. They are giving us big Clueless vibes, and we’re excited to play around with them in the upcoming months.

If you aren’t familiar, a Canadian tuxedo is basically a term for denim on denim on denim. We’re going to be seeing a lot of denim this fall, including patchwork denim pants, denim jackets with fringe, and acid stonewash jeans.
Cutout tops are going to be huge this fall after making their debut over the summer. You can opt for wild cutouts or more modest looks, depending on where you’re going. We love the subtle cutout look, which feels so sleek and trendy when done right. It’s a simple way to add interest to your outfit without being too over-the-top.

Leopard Print Coats
Accent coats stole the spotlight last fall and winter, and it looks like they’re back in a big way this year. Take a walk on the wild side by donning a leopard-print coat, which looks super-fancy with any ensemble. And we’re here for bringing that kind of energy to a bodega trip.

Remember when we mentioned that comfort was here to stay? We were referring to oh-so-cozy oversized knits. If you love feeling like you’re cocooned in a blanket, then take it from us: This is a trend you can’t wait to get on board with. Try searching the mens’ sections of your local thrift stores for unique options!

Another piece that’s here to stay? The midi skirt. Great news for those of us who couldn’t get enough of them throughout the spring and summer. Pair high-waisted midi skirts with sweaters and boots because that’s what the fall 2021 runways are telling us to do.

Our final fall 2021 trend prediction is patterned tights. They not only can add some extra texture and interest to your ’fit, but they are a great way to transition shorter pieces such as miniskirts or minidresses into the cooler months.
