A new year is an excellent opportunity to reset, think about new goals, and plan for all the things you meant to do but never found time for in the past. You want to enter the new year with a clean slate that will allow you to grow and progress.
Declutter and Organize Your Makeup
If you are a makeup lover, you likely have more products than you use. Instead of hoarding makeup and keeping everything, use the new year as an excuse to declutter and get rid of the products you don’t need. Put all of your makeup products in a place where you can see them and ask yourself what you use. Get rid of expired makeup and products you don’t use. Rinse out and recycle when you can.
Clean Out Your Wardrobe
Nothing feels as good as a well-organized wardrobe. Donate the clothes you don’t wear and give your closet a fresh look. You can organize your clothes better by making them visible by hanging up the clothes you wear the most and make use of the space you have.
Organize Your Kitchen Drawers
You know you still have that sauce sitting in a corner well beyond its expiration date. Take the time to take everything out of your kitchen drawers and cabinets, and throw away all of the expired food. You can also donate or give your friends the food you know you won’t eat. Organize your dishes and plates, and get rid of chipped mugs. You should also take time to organize and label your spices; it might help to store them alphabetically so that they are easier to find when you are cooking.
Declutter Your Phone
Since we carry our phones everywhere, they tend to have a high impact on us. You should declutter your applications to have fewer temptations when you unlock your phone. You could also consider freeing up the storage on your device. If you are running low on storage, your phone might feel constricting and might not function properly when you need it the most. You don’t want to bring this energy with you into 2020, therefore take some time to organize your files.
