Tips On Raising A Vegan Baby

Raising a vegan baby doesn’t have to be a challenge. As long as you’re giving him or her all the required nutrients their bodies need, they’ll grow up just fine.

Here are some ideas on how to get started:

First, let your pediatrician know this is the route you want to go. They may have suggestions for you. Or, they may even prescribe a multi-vitamin just to ensure the baby doesn’t miss any nutrients.

You’ll want to ensure your baby gets plenty of protein, calcium, iron and fiber. Foods such as leafy green veggies, kale, chickpeas, and squash are excellent choices to get these vital nutrients from.

Other foods you should offer regularly include: avocado, nut butters, oatmeal, and plenty of beans.

As long as you’re providing a variety of fruits, vegetables and grains (and you’ve checked with their pediatrician), your baby will grow just fine.
