Planning a wedding is supposed to be a fun and memorable time in your life, but it can also be stressful. Sometimes, eloping can be the best answer! All the destinations below are spectacular choices, depending on how far you want to travel and what backdrop you want.

If you’re looking for a tropical wedding destination in the 50 states, look no further than Kauai. The lush Hawaiian island is lovingly called the Garden Isle because of its tropical rainforests and stunning Pacific coastline. Some great elopement destinations on the island are Shipwreck Beach, Hanalei Bay, Tunnels Beach, North Shore Falls, and Anini Beach.
Red Rock Canyon, Nevada

For a wedding not too far from a city that still gives a picturesque backdrop to your special day, consider Red Rock Canyon, just outside Las Vegas. Red Rock Canyon is a conservation area where desert and mountain views meet, perfect for a romantic ceremony and a quick drive back to the Strip. If you are considering a wedding at Red Rock Canyon, the fall is an ideal time of year. Sunrise and sunset ceremonies are incredible year-round.
Breckenridge, Colorado

Mountaintop wedding ceremonies are as majestic as they get, and one of the more romantic destinations in Colorado is Breckenridge, tucked away in the Rockies, about a two-hour drive from Denver. Colorado is beautiful year-round; you can’t go wrong whether you want a winter wonderland or a verdant backdrop. The best spots to consider for your intimate ceremony are Silverthorne Pavillion, Beaver Run, and The Lodge at Breckenridge.
Big Sur, California

For those who love the ocean and the mountains, Big Sur is the perfect elopement destination. Big Sur is nestled amid sacred redwood forests, scenic cliff overlooks, and immaculate beaches. Some of the best spots include Glen Oaks Big Sur, Loma Vista Gardens, Garrapata State Park, Ventana Big Sur, and The Henry Miller Memorial Library. March through October is the ideal time to get married in Big Sur, but winter is also good if you are not concerned about how overcast it may be.
New York City, New York

New York City is the perfect romantic elopement destination if you’re looking for a cityscape as your backdrop. And if your ceremony is at night, you can take advantage of the city lights. The locations in NYC that we love are the Sunlight Penthouse, Central Park, Top of the Rock, and private rooftops of bars, Airbnbs, and hotels.
