How to Make the Most of Your Weekend

Your weekends should be a time where you can relax, recharge, spend time with friends and family, and (like it or not) attend to non-work-related errands and chores. Don’t feel like you have enough time to get it all done? Follow these tips to make the most of your weekend.

Ditch Last-Minute Plans

Last-minute plans can be a killer of weekend productivity! We encourage you to be social over the weekend, but sometimes it’s better to organize any get-togethers, dinners, or events in advance so you can plan the rest of your weekend accordingly.

Cut Back on Drinking

Drinking on the weekend can be a fun way to unwind, but it can really hinder your productivity by affecting your sleep, motivation, and overall energy.

Don’t Follow a Routine

This might sound counterintuitive, but when you set a routine, you’re likely to fall into the same patterns you do during the week. Your weekends are the perfect time to step outside of your comfort zone!

Schedule Relaxation

If your weekend is all hustle and bustle, you’re not going to be as productive as you’d like. Don’t feel like you need to be constantly doing something. Instead, give yourself permission to relax and do nothing when you need it.

Don’t Save All Your Chores

Saving all of your chores or errands for the weekend is certainly not fun. They can become daunting and possibly make you less motivated to do them at all. Instead, spread things out by incorporating chores into your week. Set aside a specific weeknight for laundry and clean and put away items as you go.
