Now that the royal wedding is over and the dust is settling, you may be wondering what’s next for Meghan Markle. It’ll be a while before she becomes queen consort (or Queen Meghan). In fact, that may never happen as Harry is 6th in line to the throne. There are 5 family members ahead of him – his dad, brother, niece and two nephews.
So it’s safe to say she isn’t holding her breath. For now, the former Suits star is busy overseeing her new role as the Duchess of Sussex along side her husband, Duke of Sussex, which she may very well do for the rest of her life.
Or, will she…?
A former close associate of Markle told the Daily Mail that the 36-year-old has her eyes set on the White House one day. This conversation allegedly happened shortly after Markle met Harry. That means no media craze over the two yet, and certainly no marriage in the works yet. Even a source shared with The Guardian, “Her friends and associates affirm that she is a political animal….”
So, could the US presidency be in the cards for Markle ? It wouldn’t be too hard to believe, according to the source. Meghan has made it very clear that she has high political ambitions as she feels she’d do a great job at helping better shape her native country.
For the record, Kensington Palace has fervently denied that the conversation ever happened. But, we’ll just have to wait and see what the Los Angeles native decides to do.
Everyone’e rooting for the royal couple and hope all continues to go well in her marriage. And who knows, maybe she comes back to America with her husband ( and a kid or two in tow), ready for the next phase of her life as the leader of the new world.
