For over 20 years, the color experts at the Pantone Color Institute have selected a Color of the Year. The pick comes from trend forecasting and research into color influences in the arts, entertainment, fashion, travel, and other industries. In December, Pantone announced that the 2022 Color of the Year is Very Peri, a violet-blue periwinkle hue. Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, said that Very Peri reflects “the global innovation and transformation taking place” because of the pandemic. She adds that the color has a “spritely, joyous attitude” and “encourages courageous creativity.”
Pantone says the warm hue evokes confidence, joy, expression, and energy – all things we’d like to bring into the new year. You can incorporate this dynamic color into your life with everything from clothing to home accessories. Here are some of our favorites!
