Our Fashion Inspiration: ’90s Claire Danes

Oh, Claire Danes. You may know her for her Emmy-winning role as CIA officer Carrie Mathison on HBO’s Homeland. However, many of us still think of her as a ’90s teen icon who had her breakout role in the ABC series My So-Called Life and starred in Romeo + Juliet alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. One thing most of us can agree on: This girl was fashion royalty in the 1990s. Let’s look at some of our favorite Claire Danes outfits from the ’90s and how you can re-create these styles today.

Excuse us while we squeal with excitement at how adorable this outfit is. It’s also evidence that fashion trends really do circle back around. Here’s a fun fact: While filming Romeo + Juliet, DiCaprio said he felt Danes was uptight, while Danes felt DiCaprio was immature. Nevertheless, they looked great tackling the red carpet together.
