Your Happiest Habit

Increased caffeinated coffee consumption is associated with a lower depression risk in women, according to a study from Harvard’s Public School of Health. The researchers tracked 50,729 U.S. women of various ages with no depression incidence and measured their coffee intake for 24 years (wow). Those who averaged two to three cups per day had a 15 percent lower relative risk for depression. Those who sucked down four cups of jolted joe a day (about two Grandes at Starbucks) had about a 20 percent decrease. Coffee has also been shown to reduce stress and improve memory and performance, so if you’re gonna get hooked on something, it might as well be a loaded cup of java.
