Tips and Tricks to Get Beachy Waves

Even though “hot girl summer” has ended, we can bring the beachy vibes well into fall. Since we can’t take trips to the beach every time we want natural beach waves, we lined up a few tricks to do it ourselves at home. Read on to find out the top 5 methods to give your hair beach waves with results that will look authentic.

#1 Hair Mousse as a Base:

Make sure your hair isn’t squeaky clean beforehand and prep it with wavy hair mousse to give it a natural wave. Use a comb to apply a small amount of mousse evenly as you comb it down from the roots to tips. Take big handfuls of your hair and scrunch upwards – be careful not to squeeze the hair too hard or it will become too wavy, or look crunched.

#2 Hairspray to Add Texture:

Use hairspray or texture spray to, you guessed it, add texture to your waves as you go.

#3 Sea Salt Spray:

Make your hair smell and appear naturally beachy by curling your hair lightly and spritzing some sea salt spray into your waves; it will help give you a tousled beach hair look.

#4 Curl Irregularly:

While curling your hair for the beach wave look, avoid uniform and tight curls. Make sure you curl in irregular and inconsistent patterns to create a more realistic result.

#5 Straighten The Ends:

All the beauty experts straighten the ends of hair or simply avoid curling them. They do this because it binds your whole look together with a modern and even beachier touch.
