Pieces That Will Transition Your Wardrobe Right Into Spring

It’s officially time to start transitioning our wardrobe from winter to spring! Now, springtime can be a little tricky in many places around the world because one day, it’s warm and sunny, and the next day, you wake up to snow on the ground. Today, we’re talking about our favorite transition pieces and how we plan on wearing them.

Denim

We love denim jackets! Not only do they look great, but they make excellent transition pieces for every season. Think about it: During the winter, we layer our denim jackets over thick sweaters to stay warm, but as we approach spring, we’ll be throwing our denim jackets over our spring dresses and wide-leg linen trousers.

Lighter Sweaters

One of the best transition tips we can give you is to pay attention to color. For instance, as we transition into spring, we may need to wear a sweater, but we won’t be reaching for our burgundy or chocolate-hued options. Instead, we’ll select colors that are more spring-appropriate such as light pink, white, or beige.

If the Shoe Fits

Shoes are easy to transition from season to season. For example, while booties are predominantly fall or winter shoes, we can make them more season-appropriate by pairing them with spring-like pieces such as light, floral skirts.

Don’t Forget The Cardigans

Much like denim jackets, cardigan sweaters make for great layering pieces. We love the look of a chunky knit, oversized cardigan over a floral minidress paired with over-the-knee boots. And don’t forget what we said about colors! Opt for lighter shades.

Embrace Neutrals

We never really stop wearing neutrals. They are perfect transitional pieces. We love to create a minimal outfit by pairing a black tee with jeans, booties, and a tan trench coat.
