6 Ways to Style a Bodysuit

We’ve seen bodysuits all over the place, and we’re kind of living for them. Not only are they super versatile style-wise, but you can snag them in any color, texture, print, and sleeve length. Whether you’re a pro at building a whole look from a bodysuit, or you have yet to give it a go, here are a few of our favorite ways to style a bodysuit.

Lace bodysuit + jogger combo

Leave it up to a Kardashian to make this seemingly strange combo look chic. Call us crazy, but we love the contrast of a lace bodysuit with joggers. Wear your bodysuit solo or layer it up with a favorite zip-up hoody or oversized, destructed denim jacket. We really can’t quite decide why we love this look so much, but we aren’t asking any questions. In the words of Queen Ari: we see it, we like it, we want it, we got it.

Bodysuits are great for wearing tucked into your favorite pieces because they aren’t going anywhere. Gone are the days of double- and triple-checking to make sure you’re still all tucked in. Another plus, opt for a skirt that has a little wrap around motion and some ruffle detail; pairing a bodysuit with a skirt that has these details will ensure they will be the focal point. Pair a printed midi skirt with Docs, woven slip-ons, a patterned booty, or Chucks to complete the look!

High-waisted denim

Pairing a bodysuit with high-waisted denim gives you a ton of different ways to go with your outfit. Mix things up a little bit by pairing a lace bodysuit with destructed denim, your favorite sneaks, and a flannel, or if you’re going for a more chic look, pair a solid bodysuit with high-waisted denim, a blazer, and pointed toe flats. High-waisted denim is a great place to start with bodysuits because you can truly do no wrong.

Spring is here, summer is quickly approaching, and we love this Cindy Crawford moment. After all, how can anyone resist a white bodysuit paired with light-wash denim? It’s super simple, super chic, and absolutely classy. Pair this outfit with some delicate gold jewelry, vintage sunnies, and your favorite slip-on sandals! Don’t hesitate to throw on a flannel shirt for an extra layer or swap the sandals for your favorite sneakers!

Light spring layers

Just because it’s spring doesn’t mean you have to ditch the long sleeves! Wear a bodysuit under a lightweight cardigan with some high-waisted denim for a light, layered look you can wear just about anywhere. Putting a bodysuit under a lightweight sweater is a great way to play with colors and textures; this also gives you the opportunity to wear bodysuits in spaces that are notoriously freezing, ie: the office.

Pairing a bodysuit with a button-down miniskirt is a great way to achieve a polished look for any occasion. If you’re going for an edgier look, opt for a destructed bodysuit and Doc Martens; if you need to look polished, say, for the office, pair your bodysuit and mini combo with a cropped blazer and pointed toe flat.
