Five 2024 Home Interior Trends We’re Obsessed With

A new year means new home interior trends to obsess over. Here are five of our favorite trends that will be huge in the coming year.

Brutalism

Think: midcentury meets raw, exposed materials such as blackened steel casement windows, raw concrete floors, and jagged patinated bronze light fixtures. Just how big will brutalism be? Zillow has reported a 452% increase in searches including the term. Because these pieces are often stripped and act as blank canvases, this style appeals to both minimalists who prefer simplicity and creatives who like adding personal touches to their space. If you dig the brutalism look but aren’t ready to fully commit, ease in by incorporating wrought-iron candleholders and tarnished brass trays to give your space a subtle vintage edge.

Curve Appeal

Straight lines and hard edges? Couldn’t be us in 2024. Curved lines, such as rounded sofas or wavy headboards, will be the vibe this year. These interiors are often focal points but can blend in or stand out as much as you prefer. Rounded accent pieces can be kept natural to create a warm, cozy space or made bold by adding vibrant colors or textures.

Terrific Tiles

In 2024, tiles will do the talking. Expect to see oversized tiles that are unique in make and layout. Say goodbye to tired feature walls and hello to this stunning way to add personality to your home. If you rent your home, we recommend looking into sticky tiles; you’ll get just the aesthetic, and when you’re ready to move, you just peel them off.

Murals

Here is a win for maximalist lovers! Statement-making murals are the way to create drama in a room. The fun lies in designing these works of art, as they can be as creative as you’d like. If you aren’t sure where to start, consider wallpaper murals that come down just as easily as they go up. Homeowners also have the benefit of being able to create murals directly on their walls. Simply paint over when you’re bored with it!

Stay Glassy

A simple way to add color, shape, and texture to your home this year is through unique glasswork. Think: vases, candlestick holders, decorative bottles, and more.
