The A-Listers Who Are Ruling the 2017 Red Carpet

Stars can be counted on to walk the red carpet with fashion that is head-turning, unapologetically in-your-face, eclectic and elegant. Some celebs serve up stunners year after year, while others evolve their look over time with the help of multiple stylists. This year has seen a lineup of favorites who keep on killing it, and 2017 has plenty of red carpet partying still to come. The Gotham Independent Film Awards and Hollywood Film Awards set for November. These are celebs who have ruled the red carpet so far. Wonder what we can expect from them next?

Best Dressed Star of the Year: Nicole Kidman

Her style is always fearless, unique, powerful and ambitious, just like the roles she chooses. This 50-year-old award-winning actress knows no fear when it comes to high fashion on the red carpet. This A-lister often chooses her look with assistance from stylist Julia von Boehm.

Fashion has such a power. I’ve always loved fashion. I love embracing it and it’s rare that you get to really dress up. Trust me, I don’t dress up at home. So when there’s a chance to dress up like at Cannes, I embrace it. I love doing it and it’s fun,” says Kidman.

Rihanna

Rihanna, 29, makes up her own rules for the fashion game. She’s a risk taker, and she consistently wins.

“I wanted to wear something that looked like it was floating on me,” Rihanna said in discussing the sheer Adam Selman gown she wore at the 2015 CFDA Awards. This is what she said about her biggest fashion risk so far: “But after that, I thought, O.K., we can’t do this again for a while. No nipples, no sexy shit, or it’s going to be like a gimmick. That night was like a last hurrah; I decided to take a little break from that and wear clothes.”

Mandy Moore

This 33-year-old actress takes her girl-next-door style to the red carpet and wins big. The star of This is Us is all about the appeal of effortlessness and fun.

“I’m at a time in my life where I feel more comfortable to be bolder and to try things I wouldn’t have tried when I was a young twentysomething,” Moore said in talking about the evolution of her look. “I’m more carefree, and I have more fun with the whole process.”

Jada Pinkett Smith

From floaty feminine floral to edgy thigh-high slit, the 46-year-old actress is making the most of collaborating with a spectrum of stylists. The result has been a barrage of head-turning looks

“Eclectic. Glam. And rugged and rock and roll,” says Pinkett Smith. “I like it when I can mix the two. I love contrast in fashion. I’m always looking for contrast of some kind.”
