How Fillers Impact Every Area of the Face

When you think of the word fillers, you might envision Kylie Jenner’s lips. But aestheticians and plastic surgeons use dermal fillers such as Juvéderm, Restylane, Sculptra, and others for more than just enhancing lips. Here, we explain exactly how fillers can impact and transform each area of the face.

Forehead

Botox isn’t the only way to help get rid of wrinkles and lines in your forehead; fillers are also an option. The results can be seen immediately and can last for up to one year. Fillers can also help with symmetry in your forehead.

Cheeks

When we’re young, our cheeks are full and voluminous (this is usually what we refer to when we use the term “baby face”). But as we age, our cheeks lose volume, and the muscles underneath become less toned and more wrinkled. Cheek fillers can add volume and definition back into the cheeks and cheekbones.

Eyes

As we age, the skin around our eyes sinks closer to our eye sockets, often resulting in that dark, “tired,” under-eye look. Eye fillers can be injected into the tear troughs (the circles underneath the eyes) to plump the skin back up, making you look more refreshed.

Mouth

Many areas of the mouth suffer from the impacts of aging. Fillers are often injected between the corners of the nose and mouth, as this line deepens throughout our lifetimes. Another popular area for filler injections is just beneath the corners of the mouth, as this can reverse the “perma-frown” that occurs with natural aging.

Jaw/Chin

Gravity also pulls on the chin, creating sagging skin, a softened jawline, or what’s known as “jowls.” Dermal fillers are often used in the jawline area to strengthen it and give it a more defined appearance. In addition, fillers can be inserted into the tip of the chin, which will elongate the face and create a slimmer appearance.

Nose

Much like the chin, dermal fillers can be injected into the nose with the purpose of altering its shape. This is a safer, less permanent option for people who may have considered getting a nose job!

Lips

Dermal fillers are likely best known for their use in the lips, which results in the plump, pouty look that has been popularized by beauty influencers and celebrities like the Kardashians.
