Holiday Treats Practically Everyone Will Love

Whether making treats as a holiday gift or for your own enjoyment, if your baking idea arsenal is a little empty at the moment, not to worry! Here are some recipes for holiday treats that practically everyone will love! (Recipe links are in the pink titles.)

Pumpkin Pie Truffles

Pumpkin pie is a traditional holiday dish, but instead of serving the pie itself, opt to make these pumpkin pie truffles (recipe courtesy of So Yummy). Simply add a whole pumpkin pie to a bowl, mash it up into a paste, then scoop out ball-shaped spoonfuls and refrigerate. Once cold, dip each ball into chocolate, let dry, then drizzle with white chocolate glaze. Talk about a yummy take on a classic!

Hot Chocolate Cookies

Hot chocolate is another holiday staple, and this recipe from Christi over at Love From the Oven takes everything you love about the warm drink and turns it into a gooey treat. While this recipe does have a few more ingredients than the others on this list, the results will be worth it! As a tip, Christie suggests finding a hot chocolate mix that includes mini marshmallows since Mallow Bits have been more challenging to find these days.

Pistachio Cookies

If you are looking for the perfect combination of sweet and salty flavors with a holiday aesthetic that’s too pleasing to ignore, try these pistachio cookies from blogger Elaine of Dishes Delish. These creamy cookies are easy to make with many ingredients that you probably already have in your fridge or pantry. For added sweetness, try dipping half of the finished cookies into melted chocolate chips.

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

Hot chocolate is amazing, but we often rely on pre-made mixes. Homemade hot chocolate mix is a delicious alternative and makes a great gift for work colleagues or acquaintances. For this recipe from The Pioneer Woman, simply combine the dry ingredients into the container of your choice, seal it up, and save for when you’re ready. Then, all you need to do is add water and enjoy!

Peppermint Bark

No holiday treat list is complete without peppermint. And while a candy cane would technically get the job done, putting the flavor into a yummy treat is even better. This peppermint bark recipe, courtesy of food blogger Sara at Dinner at the Zoo, requires only four ingredients. Simply select the chocolate you prefer and add in the peppermint flavors. Crack the bark into pieces, then wrap with cellophane wrap or place into a Tupperware container.
