How to Get Stunning Bleached Brows This Summer Without the Commitment

Bleached eyebrows can be a hit or miss. When done correctly, they can be stunning and accentuate other features on your face. They also offer a clean slate to experiment with bold makeup looks. On the contrary, bleached brows are intimidating to commit to full time, and the bleach itself can cause damage to the hair and the skin.

Thankfully, there’s an easy, accessible, and affordable way to temporarily get a high-fashion bleached-brow look without burning your brow hairs off. All you need is a light-toned concealer, translucent powder, and a spoolie.

Why is this method effective? You don’t need to be a professional makeup artist, and you easily wash it off at the end of the day. Simply follow these steps!

Step 1:

Begin this brow process after you’ve applied your base makeup but before you move on to your eye makeup. If there is any product in your brows, now is the time to wipe it away.

Step 2:

Grab an extremely light shade of concealer and a clean spoolie. (A spoolie is the easiest way to evenly distribute the concealer to the brows without making a giant mess.) Dip the spoolie into the concealer and make sure the brush is nicely coated with the product.

Step 3:

Start applying the first layer of concealer by brushing it against the brows (against the natural grain). This will allow each brow hair to get coated with the product instantly. It will also make sure you don’t miss any spots. You don’t want to apply too much at once. Once you apply this first layer, let it dry.

Step 4:

Apply the second layer of concealer. This time, brush the hairs up and in the direction of their growth. This is where you can control the shape of the brows. Again, let dry before moving on.

Step 5:

If you have darker eyebrows, continue to apply thin layers of concealer to build up coverage until you reach your desired look. Make sure to wait for each layer of concealer to dry before applying the next. You don’t want the product to move around the pigment and coverage. Expert tip: You can add a white cream to cancel out yellow tones.

Step 6:

Seal the deal with powder. Do this with an extremely light hand and a minimal amount of product. Gently pat (do not rub) the powder on the brows until the layer is thin and undetectable.

Step 7:

Finish the rest of your makeup. You now have fake bleach brows that will last all day. They easily wash off with makeup remover, and you don’t have to deal with negatives like bleach burns or growing them back out.

If you have always wondered what you will look like with bleach brows, now you can! You can rock the look whenever you want, or decide if you want to go through with the bleaching process after all.
