We love to travel. If we could, we’d make it our full-time job. Basking in all the different scenes, meeting people from around the world, tasting decadent dishes, experiencing exquisite culture…
Sounds like a dream come true.
But for now, we’ll settle with doing some research, saving up a little money, and booking one trip at a time. If that seems like your MO, follow along. We’ve got some great places for you to consider in Europe.
Florence, Italy
If you know a thing or two about history, Florence is where the famous Medici family ruled. It’s also where intense and amazing artists like Michelangelo and Brunelleschi excelled in their talents. But the city doesn’t only feature great accounts of the past and Renaissance art; it’s also home to mouthwatering Italian cooking, gorgeous sunsets, and the most romantic spots on the globe.
Apuseni Mountains, Romania
Transylvania offers a green scene with cool temps, the perfect place to go for a summer break. While adventuring, you’ll be able to take in the landscape unbothered. Why? Because the pathways aren’t crowded, giving you fresh breathing air every step you take. If you’re a hiker, the Apuseni is definitely the place to be.
Vienna, Austria
Are you an art buff? Do you genuinely appreciate authentic music? If so, Vienna is the perfect city for you. Home to Mozart, Beethoven, and Sigmund Freud, this place will provide you a charm unmatched.
While you’re in town, we highly suggest making a stop at St. Stephen’s Cathedral; it’s truly a masterpiece. The Naschmarkt also has a great scenery, showcasing fresh foods grown and sourced locally.
Bruges, Belgium
Looking for a town that has distinct charm, look no further than Bruges itself. This place has medieval streets, winding canals, and so much more to offer. We highly suggest visiting in the winter months, considering the area is small and many people desire to check it out on holiday.
Things you can’t miss: Visiting the Markt, indulging in a local Belgian beer, catching views from the Belfort, and documenting awesome photos of the Zeebrugge.
Athens, Greece
Take a trip back to ancient times with a visit to Athens, Greece. The Parthenon was fabricated back in 447 BC and offers stunning views of the entire city. While in town, be sure to check out Greek art from way back when up until present times. But one thing you simply can’t forget to do: Eat! Try things like baklava and souvlaki; you’ll have zero regrets.
Edinburgh, Scotland
Gardens, castles, scotch tastings, and kilts? Need we say more?
Edinburgh, Scotland also has breathtaking views from all points of the city. Just be sure to pack some good shoes, because cobblestone is everywhere. And the hills… are quite windy. But all your memories will be 100% authentic.
