Children of Actors Blaze Their Own Trails to Stardom

Children who follow in the footsteps of famous acting parents have big shoes to fill. These are six who are blazing trails of their own.

Sosie Bacon stars as Skye Miller in the controversial Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. Parents: Kyra Sedgwick, 52, and Kevin Bacon, 60. Sosie Bacon is 26.

Colin Hanks, 40, returns for the fourth season as a star in the CBS comedy Life in Pieces. Parents: Samantha Lewes, who died at the age of 49 in 2002, and Tom Hanks, 62.

Dakota Johnson, 28, can be seen in two films coming out this fall, Bad Times at the El Royale and Suspiria. She first won fame starring in Fifty Shades of Grey. Parents: Melanie Griffith, 60, and Don Johnson, 68.

Zoe Kravitz will return for season two of HBO’s Emmy-winning series Big Little Lies. She plays the character Bonnie Carlson. Parents: Lisa Bonet, 50, and Lenny Kravitz, 54. Zoe Kravitz is 29.

Ben Stiller, 52, is an Emmy-winning actor who returned for season five of Arrested Development, a reboot on Netflix. He produced the comedy movie Alex Strangelove. Parents: Anne Meara, who died at age 85 in 2015, and Jerry Stiller, 91.

Rumer Willis, 29, played the role of Tory on the Fox network’s Empire. Her character died in the season four finale in May.  Parents: Demi Moore, 55, and Bruce Willis, 63.
