Avoid DIY Cleansing Oils

Most commercial cleansing oils contain surfactants, which help get rid of dirt. Castor, olive and and other household oils don’t. When you make your own cleansing oil at home, it doesn’t have those ingredients it needs to clean pore-clogging debris off your skin, resulting in—you guessed it—acne. It’s cheaper, we know, but derms recommend that you don’t go homemade on this one.
